If you find training alone boring, or it’s difficult to get motivated, why not workout in a small group? It has several benefits that make your training more enjoyable and effective.
1. Competition – A group of people training together will inevitably have some friendly competition. This is great because it pushes you to work harder than you might do alone. Friendly competition makes the workout more effective and fun for everybody involved.
2. Encouragement – Of course not only are people competitive, but they are supportive too. Everyone wants the best for each other, and a few words of encouragement can go a long way when you’re struggling for breath. A friendly and supportive environment can create a place you feel happy and enjoy working out in, while an open gym could be intimidating to some.
3. Fun – Working out in a group is fun. You have the social aspect which makes the time fly by, you have a laugh, and working out can become something you look forward to, rather than dread.
4. Accountability – The benefit of training with a group extends beyond just the workout. Being with other people increases accountability, which makes you more likely to attend workouts, follow a diet plan, and do the work needed to get the results you’re looking for.
