How to Energise Your Workouts

Date: Jan 29, 2020

It's true that discipline and routine are the best way to get results, but it all can become very mundane doing the same training over and over again. But it does not have to be this way. There are ways you can energise your workouts so you will not be able to wait to get into the gym again.

Find a Friend to Train With

Having a friend on board for your fitness goal will make all the difference in the world in the gym. Those exercises that were becoming tedious will now be viewed differently as you will be facing friendly support and competition. Adding a friend to the mix will challenge you every workout and keep you accountable to turning up each day.

Change It Up

If you feel your workouts are dull, there is no written rule that you have to do the same workout each time. In fact, it would be a good idea to change things up because your muscles will start to become familiar with the same training over and over again. You should start to incorporate different exercises that you normally do so you can energize your workouts. There is a good chance that you will be a bit sore once you do so, but don’t worry about that. The soreness is actually a good thing as your body is adapting to the new exercises.

Train Outside

Superman is not the only one that gains energy from the sun. Your body will respond favorably to training outside once in a while and the sun will feel great on your skin!

Consider a Pre-Workout Routine

What signals your brain and body that a workout is about to begin? It may be that you have a coffee and a banana, or listen to a certain motivational track, or put your gym gear on. Find out whatever triggers you to think "Right, it's go time", lock it in and create a habit that you can do it anywhere, anytime.
