Two become one to create local fitness and health hub: Genesis Health + Fitness Cairns joins forces with Sportsworld
Things will now look a little different at the Sportsworld Fitness Centre as it has combined with Genesis Health + Fitness to create feature-packed health hub for locals.
Genesis Health + Fitness 318 (Cairns), which was located just a two-minute drive away, has transitioning into the re-branded Sportsworld site and brings an all-new offering to current and new members.
A huge range of facilities and training options are available including:
• Access to over 25 heart-pumping classes per week in the biggest group fitness studio in Cairns.
• A bigger gym floor with over 55 pieces of cardio equipment and a huge selection of weight machine and free weights.
• A Coaching Zone space, which offers 45-minute group personal training sessions for the beginner through to the advanced. Each session incorporates high-tech heart rate technology that measures a member’s individual ‘effort’ and Coaching Zone’s signature 15 minutes of ‘community coaching’ at the end of each session, ensuring all members engage in a cool down stretch and have the opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from expert coaches to help keep them on track towards reaching their goals.
• A separate female-only training space.
• An outdoor training area.
• Access to a 25m pool with five lanes.
• Child minding between 9-11.30am Monday to Friday for just $3 per hour.
All staff from Genesis Heath + Fitness 318 have moved over to the new site, led by existing Club Manager Mikella Hollands.
Sportsworld owner Gary Bradley said he was excited about the new partnership.
“We are so excited to be offering this new feature-packed hub to members, with additional space and plenty of parking,” said Gary.
“With the space and combed offering, we can offer more and that means better variety and choice for locals when it comes to their health. Genesis 318 members and existing Sportworld members will all benefit by getting access to more training options than they had previously.”
Former Sportsworld Fitness Centre members can continue on their current membership package with the option to upgrade to access new services like Coaching Zone.
