Ways to become a healthier you

If there’s one thing Genesis prides itself on, it’s packing in the variety under one roof and ensuring there is something there for every fitness level, goal, personality and mood.

If you’re looking to mix things up, want some fresh inspo or just want to learn a little more about what you can access as part of the Genesis family, here are just some of the ways you can get moving with us:

WELLNESS

An increasing number of our clubs now have beautiful, boutique Reformer Pilates studios. Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, dynamic style of training that’s suitable for everybody and guaranteed to leave you feeling empowered and energised. Contrary to some myths, Reformer is actually a great option for beginners or those requiring some additional support – whether injured, over 60 or making a fitness comeback. The springs on the reformer bed support your body and allow you to achieve movements that you likely wouldn’t be able to without their help.

Did you know? Genesis also offers traditional mat pilates and yoga classes.

HIIT

To get a fitness ‘HIIT’ like no other, our Coaching Zone space lets you take the intensity up a level under the guidance of a trainer, with high-tech ‘effort monitoring’ and a group of like-minded members by your side. Some people use CZ when they are coming back to the gym/returning to fitness after a break while others are such fans of the community and training style that they stay for good!

MOVE

Group fitness classes are the perfect pick-me-up, a place to go to when you want to train hard or zone out and let someone else take charge. What can you do – almost anything! If you haven’t looked at the timetable for a while here are a few classes you may have missed:

  • Booty HIIT: A booty-focused workout designed to help activate, strengthen and tone your glutes
  • Tabata: Short and to the point. This class is a full-body, high-intensity cardio-burning class. It uses interval training to get you fit quickly.
  • Active Adults: 50s+ class to enhance fitness and wellbeing. The low-impact and weight-bearing exercises develop stronger bones and muscles and improve balance.
  • Tummy, Hips and Thighs: A fantastic workout that concentrates on toning and firming your lower body and strengthening your core.

Did you know? Some of our classes are just 30-mins in duration if you’re looking for a quick workout.

LIFT

Access to weights and plates is the reason that many people join the gym. Whether it’s free weights or machines and be you 25 or 65, there are clear benefits for including weight training in the mix.
