For those of us who are committed to personal improvement, there is little more mentally and physically rewarding than an endurance challenge. It has become a popular way of getting into shape, with charity marathons, month-long challenges or epic hikes becoming a regular part of our lives. But these challenges should not be taken lightly, and it is important that we build ourselves up before we undertake them.
Here at our gym in Preston, we love a good challenge. For over two decades, Genesis Health and Fitness have been cheerleading individuals and teams taking challenges all over the area. Many of us have undertaken such challenges ourselves, and our clients are constantly encouraged to push themselves just a little harder to get the results they need. As a well-equipped gym with a supportive team and encouraging community, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more appropriate place to get into shape to face your marathon, hike or epic adventure!
Of course, we see all kinds of challenges on a daily basis. You don’t need to be conquering Everest to get into training with us. All you can ever ask of yourself when taking a challenge, whether it is running 5k or losing a couple of kilograms, is: ‘What can I do to push myself a little further than before?’
We’re here to help you answer that question as well as help to make sure you are doing so safely. It’s not all high-octane exercise we offer either. It is important that you stretch and warm down after intense endurance training which is why we offer classes in Pilates, - and yoga in Preston. For those who really want a good pampering, we also have a spacious sauna and a massage service to work out the knots and kinks in those aching muscles!
